Why your mum can be very very annoying- teenagers

Mothers. They are in fact, the reason you are alive today. They gave birth to you, fed you, clothed you, listened to your persistent screams, given you advice and loved you every step of the way.  So why, then, is she also the most frustrating person you know?
Everyone has argued with their mum at least once. However, for most of us, it's an awful lot more than that. There are just some things they don't understand:
  • Teens need personal space- Having your mother constantly enter your room, want to do stuff with you and always getting in the way is very fustrating, even though she may only mean well. This may result in an argument where you Mum may think that teens are in the wrong. However, teens, it is simply the fact of not having enough space. We've all been there.
  • Freedom! - Teenagers need freedom. To be able to go to parties, out with friends, to the park... whatever. Mums do not understand this. While your mum might be quite lenient, there will be those certain things that really wind you up, such as not being allowed to go on the train on your own, when all your friends can! Before throwing a tantrum, think about it. Your Mum is only trying to keep you safe. If you really think its unfair, do a PowerPoint, email them, do anything apart from getting in a tizz. Parents really hate it and it won't get you anywhere.
  • Growing up Teenagers are naturally moody. Its the way you are changing as you grow. Before blowing your top think about it and try and have a mature conversation about whatever. If you don't get results, then BAM; most just get very angry, me included. I've been there. Mums don't seem to remember what it was like to be in that situation when they were your age. Growing
  • Growing up more As boys/girls become a bigger part of your life, your Mum may not come to terms with that, as in her eyes, you are still her child. Getting your first boyfriend/girlfriend and then telling your mum, can be very hard. She'll tell you that your not old enough, that your not responsible enough... etc. Well, instead of keeping it a secret, just tell her. Maybe at first she'll be annoyed but soon, she might realise that your growing up, that your no longer her child.
  • Fighting - Fighting (especially boys) does happen throughout teenage years. Whether it with siblings or friends, relatives or your parents, some things can really annoy you that your Mum can be angry about. I always used to fight with my siblings both physically and verbally.

Conclusion: Although your mum is the one who love you the most, she also doesn't understand you in many other ways.
