Why Revision is Hard-with-a-capital-H

Revision is something you do when you are determined to get good grades or have been motivated or bribed by your parents. I am a mixture of both. I'm sure we've all had the lecture on 'Your life will be crap if you don't do well NOW.'  or the one where they say, 'This is going to decide what your future life will be like, whatsitsface. Do you want to have eggs thrown at your face because your a tramp and little kids will pick on you?' sort of thing. I've had both, minus the bit about eggs. But I also WANT to do well. I really do but when sitting down to revise, it always gets messed up because the dude next door has a had a bath and our house is flooding and I have to clean up; or when your pet ferret sneaks up on you and clamps its teeth around your nose and you yowl so hard your mum goes deaf so you have to take her to get a hearing aid but then the doctor doesn't...etc..etc etc.
And when I DO get revision done, I forget half of it which is a massive fail because revision is where you learn it and know it and get the answers right....not for me. I think if I did the same amount of revision as a friend, I would only know half the amount of stuff they know because I forget it all.
Also, I'm a teenager. This means I don't like my parents telling me what to do. My mum tells me to do some revision, I immediatley don't want to do it because she told me too. This also, is very annoying.
Also, I get distracted easily.  My brain works hard to find something for me to get distracted by like, ooohhhhhhhh I could write a poem. thatwouldbegreat; oohhhh the ferrets are going to die because they haven't had enough exercise ibettergodoit: ooohhhhh I could make a yummy cake and eat it all and get fat yumyumyummyyumm; oohhhh my sisters birthday next month lets make her a card pritstickgluegluecutcutYAY..etc..etc. There are so many.
My conclusion: LIFE IS HARD.
